The elections to the 6th European Parliament took place between the 10th and 13th June 2004.  In Poland, we elected 54 Deputies, who joined 7 European Parliamentary Groups  (some of the Deputies joined the non-attached)

The Polish Delegation in the Socialist Group consists of nine members:

What is the Socialist Group in the European Parliament?
The PSE Group is the key force in the European Parliament. Its input to, and support of, the legislative work of Parliament is indispensable. Under the leadership of the dedicated Group President, Martin Schulz, the 218 Members from 25 Member States work to enhance perspectives for our society and to implement positive changes. The Group's activities are co-ordinated by the Bureau, which comprises the Group President, the seven Vice Presidents and the Treasurer. The National Delegation members along with the staff and secretariat contribute enormously to the Group's work.
